Privacy Policy

SellWell ("the App", "we", "us") is a Shopify application that analyzes your product sales, identifies slow-selling products and manages discounts on them. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

• Shop access token and session data — to authenticate API calls on your behalf.
• Product catalog data — titles, images, vendors, tags, product types, collections, prices, compare-at prices and inventory levels, to analyze sales and apply discounts.
• Order line totals — for each order from roughly the last 100 days, only the order ID, date, products purchased, quantities and amounts. We do not store customer names, emails, addresses, phone numbers or payment data.
• App settings and campaign history — your detection, discount and exclusion settings, the campaigns you run and the original prices of products we discount.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To calculate 7, 30, 60 and 90-day sales per product and identify slow-selling products.
• To change product prices and compare-at prices when you approve a campaign or enable automatic mode, and to restore the original prices afterwards.
• To show you analytics about your sales and discount performance.

3. Data Stored in Your Shop

Before changing a variant's price, the App saves the original price and compare-at price in a variant metafield ("SellWell original price") in your shop, so prices can always be restored. It is removed when the price is restored.

4. Third-Party Services

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising. Data is hosted on Vercel and Neon (PostgreSQL) in the EU.

5. Data Retention

• Order line totals older than ~100 days are deleted automatically.
• All data associated with your shop is permanently deleted within 48 hours of uninstall, in response to Shopify's shop/redact webhook.

6. GDPR & Your Rights

We don't store personal data about your customers. To exercise any rights over your shop's data or request deletion, contact us below.

7. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS and access tokens are stored securely.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects any changes. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
